Since we've moved to Italy, my camera has been on overdrive.  I thought I had already been taking a lot of pictures since Julia was born - I didn't realize it was possible to take this many more.  This page of the blog will be devoted to our absolute favorites.

We will only be selecting a small handful of the photographs I'm taking on a regular basis.  I will add them in chronological order (most recent on top) and I will try to update this page regularly.  I'll offer a brief narrative of each photo so that you may learn a bit about it.  

It is my hope that you find these interesting and most importantly of all, that you enjoy!

Dolomites, Italy 

The Dolomiti mountains are purely breathtaking.  An expansive mountain range that spans across northeast Italy and home to our Zia Claudia; they were also our home for several days this past Easter.  This road trip was the first time I filled my camera's memory card - the scenery is like nothing we'd ever seen in our lifetimes.  Read about it HERE and HERE.

Dublin, Ireland

When we went to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day - we couldn't believe how much the city had to offer.   Every night, they would "green the city" which was uplighting most major buildings with green lights.  We also enjoyed more than one Guinness.  Read about our trip HERE, HERE and HERE.

Verona, Italy

Verona was the first major "road trip" that we took when we got here.  While I have many beautiful memories of Verona, my favorite photo was of my two girls in front of Castello San Pietro.  Julia was a huge hit with tourists in Giulietta's House - they lined up to take pictures of her.   Read about our trip HERE.

When we first arrived in Italy, Jen suggested we start a blog as a type of "journal" for our time here. The City That Inspired the Renaissance

The Renaissance was a cultural movement that spanned three centuries and gave us some of the world's most precious treasures.  It changed the way people thought, it altered politics and it had an impact on art and architecture that lasts to this day.  The exciting changes in art and philosophy reached across Europe and quite literally brought people out of the Dark Ages and into the light of a new era.  There is little debate about the birthplace of the Renaissance ; nearly all scholars will agree that it is Florence, Italy .  Because of the city's important impact on the world as we know it, as well as it's own unique beauty - Florence  is a city that everyone should see in their lifetime.  If those are not compelling enough reasons, Florence is in Tuscany - one of Italy's most beautiful regions. Christmas in Italy... Your Taste Buds Will Thank You, Your Stomach Will Not

If you are notoriously known for having eyes that are bigger than your stomach, then Italy is the ideal place for you during the holidays.  You will eat some of the most delectable food known to man... but you will certainly eat far too much of it!  If you possess a willpower stronger than mine and think to yourself, "nonsense Greg, I always stop eating when I am full" then you are mistaken.
